Michelin Tire Reviews

posted on December 20, 2018

Michelin is one of the most recognized, leading tire brands in the world. The brand’s history of quality and reliability make it a popular choice among many consumers, especially Tire America customers. Let’s look at a few of the top-rated tires Michelin offers today, and see if we can find the right one for you.

#1: Defender T+H

The Defender T+H is an all-season touring tire for passenger vehicles and light trucks. According to Michelin, the tire’s sipes and independent tread blocks help provide excellent traction in dry, wet, and light-snow road conditions. The tread compound and design promotes even wear and long tire life (80,000-mile treadwear limited warranty), all while delivering a quiet, comfortable ride.

UTQG Rating

The Defender T+H has an A rating for traction, B for temperature and 820 for wear.

The manufacturer claims it lasts 10% longer than the LTX M/S2, using the same successful tread pattern with the improved EverTread®compound. Add in shorter wet stopping distances and better snow traction, the Defender LTX M/S is also eco-friendly, saving up to 65 gallons of fuel over the life of the tire.

Add a durable construction that allows the tire to come with a 50,000-, 55,000- or 65,000-mile treadwear limited warranty (depending on speed rating and size), the Energy Saver A/S is a great option for consumers with long commutes.
